What is a 5
years parts and labour Warranty? Some manufacturers offer 5 years parts and labour on their boiler. These are on A rated boiler, ie the most efficient one. If at any time the boiler breaks down with the first 5 years of its life you can call the manufacturer. They will pay for labour and parts for the full 5 years. You do not pay a penny. Unlike British Gas most manufacturers will endeavour to come out to you the same day. If that is not possible you will get a two hour timeslot and in some cases I have heard stories of the engineers calling up early in the morning and advising the customer of an exact time. British Gas will only give AM or PM time slots.
Who can give you a 5 years parts and labour
Warranty? Only an engineer who has been on an accredited installer course can give you access to this guarantee. The courses that we go on are very in depth and intensive. We learn all aspects of correct commissioning and installation procedures. To be eligible for these courses installers must meet stringent criteria. One criteria is that the installer must have installed around 50-60 of the manufacturers' boilers in one calendar year. A small percentage of installers are either too lazy or not technically minded enough to attend and pass these courses.
What are the benefits of a 5 years parts and labour
Warranty? The obvious benefit is the peace of mind. Especially if you dont want to have to fork out for costly repairs. Some repairs can be very costly. Another benefit is that you can cancel your current homecare agreement. The typical homeowner pays British Gas a whopping £19 per month for their Homecare agreement... Ouch!
In theory you can take the following costs off your
boiler installation quote:
£'s saved over one month - £19 £'s saved over 5 years - £1140
